In YouthBuild, mentoring provides young people the opportunity to explore career options, seek leadership guidance, educational resources, support with developing social and decision making skills, and continue to build a positive, supportive social network.

 

Ideally, participants in YouthBuild pick their own mentor.

 

If a participant does not have anyone in mind, the program will help them find a mentor by taking part in a group activities that help the participant get to know and select possible mentors.
